President Trump is looking to halt H-1B visas on the premise that they take jobs away from U.S. workers.  However,  a new study by economist Madeline Zavodny for the National Foundation for American Policy suggests the opposite is actually true.

The Trump administration plans new restrictions on H-1B visas premised on the argument that foreign-born scientists and engineers harm the job prospects of U.S. college graduates. It turns out the opposite is true – foreign nationals on H-1B visas make it more likely U.S. workers will be employed, have better wage growth and, for young college graduates, remain in a field related to their major.
